Beyoncé (stylized as BEYONCÉ) is the fifth studio album by American singer and songwriter Beyoncé Knowles, released on December 12, 2013 by Columbia Records. The album was released without warning on the iTunes Store, causing a shock to both her fans and to the public. Described as a "visual album", the album also comes with a music video with each track.
The self-titled set is the artist's first visual album, featuring 14 new songs and 17 videos shot around the world from Houston to New York City to Paris, and Sydney to Rio de Janeiro, all before the album's release.
